Slowly Becoming Routine

Hey all,

Fifth week of school starts tomorrow and right after we'll be having our first break: Easter.

Updates.

My SAMSUNG GALAXY S2! I have had it for a little over a week now and it's just an amazing construction. Phone, mp3, gameboy, camera, facebook, organiser.... all in one! How awesome is that?! The camera's freaking amazing in day light and it's not too bad in dim light as well. Kind of makes my DSLR redundant to carry around if I just want to take street or scenery photos. Check out some of my photos taken straight with my photo with slight alterations to colour, contrast and saturation:

Meditation has become an important thing in my life. I attended my first meditation class more than a week ago and have been practicing it whenever I feel distracted, stressed, disturbed or simply in need of calmness. I just wish I had discovered the power of meditation earlier, for it really does improve my state of mind very much. Makes me love the peace and quietness of the world very much. Sometimes, I find myself having a hard time concentrating on what I'm working on due to distractions but after meditation, I feel so much more alive and awake, much more ready to do what I was supposed to do! Great practice, great practice; recommended to everyone.

School has been getting busier and busier every week. I find myself slowly losing up to the pace of the school syllabus. There are so much to learn and so little time to learn everything. But I think I'm still alright. I want to do well in school, and so I work hard. I study hard everyday -- or so I make myself believe. I strive to study efficiently rather than study a lot ,which I believe makes a big difference. Having friends around who work hard also boosts my motivation -- social facilitation!

Life is slowly becoming more like routine -- which for me right now is a good thing. I find myself working on psychology and economics on weekends, statistics on Wednesdays, sociology and philosophy on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Now that I know my schedule well, it makes learning a lot faster with less stress of feeling lost. Other than study routines, other parts of life is also becoming more stable. I usually socialise and hang out with people during dinner time or right after dinner. On Fridays I go for badminton right after classes and I'm pretty free to do whatever I want at night. Half of Saturday's allocated for psychology studies (and laundry) while on Sundays, I study economics and occasionally sociology.

I've been feeling quite ambitious lately. I want to spend my time here at university and International House wisely. In the soon future, I plan to do some fitness sports - running or swimming almost every other day and take my softbox out to the nearby park to have a photoshoot at least once every week. Gotta find some friends willing to pose as models for me first though. These plans have not been materialised but I hope they do. It makes life so much more meaningful and fun.

Just came back from a meet up with former SSIS people. I feel happy meeting them all again and knowing that a part of SSIS still lives in Australia! Man, I miss SSIS. More so the people and the life than the school...but I still would like to go back for visits.

Parents and little brother are coming over to Sydney in the coming weekend. Hopefully they like Sydney like how I love Sydney!

I really like the picture quality of the galaxy S2 from what you've shown.

It's good that things are getting routine :) routine is what we had every Friday at Caleb's house *Haha*

I'm glad to see you're doing well
